Kentucky Bourbon Favorites

Kentucky is a beautiful state with rolling hills and gentle breezes. Not only is it scenic, but they produce most of the greatest bourbons in the world. If you have never been there, I highly recommend. I've shared my favorite places worth visiting & the bourbon to go with them below!

Woodford Reserve: The top sponsor of the Kentucky Derby, this distillery is located in Versailles. It is one of my favorites that offers excellent tastings & engaging tours. My favorite is their Double Oaked bourbon.

Maker's Mark: Nestled in Loretto, Maker's Mark offers excellent tours and elaborately shares their process. One of the best parts of the tour is watching how each bottle is hand dipped. The 46 is my choice.

Four Roses: In Anderson County, Four Roses tells a legendary romantic tale of its founding and origins. Smooth tasting and classic for drinking on the rocks. I prefer their Single Barrel.

Jim Beam: Located in Clermont is one of the most popular distillery brands. Jim Beam does not disappoint with it's massive landscape and impressive facilities. With so many to choose from, their Maple and Devil's Cut bourbons are absolutely worth trying. Bonus: If you are feeling adventurous and can find it, Jacob's Ghost White Whiskey may awaken your senses.

As always drink responsibly and enjoy in the appropriate setting. Kentucky is a wonderful place to visit and to tour a distillery!
