Meet Dr Lisa Koche of Spectra Wellness Solutions. Dr. Koche shares her passion and drive to write her book!

Sam: Why did you first want to become a doctor?
Dr. Lisa Koche: I knew I wanted to become a doctor after my own journey and exposure to the medical field. I was diagnosed with childhood Leukemia at 15 years old and later experienced heart failure due to chemo. I was always inclined to question the narrative and that led me to be motivated to look for answers for healing others.

Sam: Did you have a similar drive to then become triple boarded or were there other factors?
Dr Lisa Koche: As I started practicing, I discovered the need for further education to heal patients based on the presentation of symptoms and what I felt to be the lack of appropriate treatment options. That pushed me to research further training and education.

Sam: What has been the most memorable or rewarding career experience you've had to date?
Dr. Lisa Koche: The opportunity to speak to over 2,000 people at one of Tony Robbins events.

Sam: Why was writing Get Lit important to you?
Dr. Lisa Koche: I wanted to be able to reach more people with a basic explanation of how they could take their health into their own hands. I am currently working on my second book which will chronicle my healing journey in ways that the reader can learn and grow along with the story.

Sam: Do you have any advice for people wishing to pursue a medical career in your expertise?
Dr. Lisa Koche: Don’t assume the only options are what you are told. You can always make your own path and learn things outside of the box.

Sam: Finally, where's the best place to follow your practice & buy your book?
Dr. Lisa Koche: The best place to follow what is going on at my practice would be through my personal Instagram account as I make regular Instagram Live updates. My book can be bought on Amazon. There is a link to find it on Amazon through my website at where we also are launching an online membership very soon.
